Striking wedding centrepieces,
corporate centrepieces and more
Wedding centrepieces, or centrepieces for any kind of celebration, play an integral role in bringing a venue’s entire décor theme together. It serves as the focal point on every table and requires special attention to detail to provide a sophisticated flair to your event. Aspen Flowers & Co has assisted many brides, and other event coordinators, with the design and creation of their centrepieces and through meticulous attention to detail, we have achieved stunning results time and again.
Deciding on the style and colour of your centrepieces can feel daunting as it plays such an important role in your event’s décor. Our team can assist you from concept to completion. From your brief and design ideas, we can guide you on the type of flowers that will work best to make your idea a reality. Below are our helpful hints to help you in formulating a concept:
Once you have established the number of guests attending your event, and the number of tables you will need, you can determine how much you can spend on your centrepieces. At Aspen Flowers & Co, we work with you to stretch your budget as far as possible – without compromising on the quality or aesthetic value of your flowers.
Of course, the season in which your event will be held influences your choice of flowers as you need to consider which flowers will be available. Therefore, before starting to pin down your ideas, do research on the flower types available during the season of your wedding or other event. Talk to us about seasonality to ensure that you are fully aware of all your options.
The size and shape of the tables
When starting to get your ideas together for your centrepieces, the shape, size and number of tables need to be considered. You want to make sure that you do not overcrowd your tables or the venue, so you have to perfectly align the size of your centrepieces to the size of your tables, taking into consideration that the table will also be filled with plates, place cards, glasses, cutlery, etc.
Oval or rectangular tables allow for more elaborate centrepieces, but make sure that your designs are not too high as this may make it difficult for guests to comfortably converse with one another.
The lighting in the venue
When putting your centrepieces together, enquire about the lighting in your venue. If the venue is likely to have minimal lighting, you could include candles in your design – this adds both a romantic and beautiful touch. In brightly lit conditions, on the other hand, rather using white or pale flowers with a pop of colour might be a better idea.
